Title: Valiant Hearts: The Great War™ / Soldats Inconnus : Mémoires de la Grande Guerre™ Type: Video Game Release Date: 25th June 2014 Produced by: Ubisoft Montpellier Game modes: Puzzle Adventure Single Player Game
Reading about and seeing the great numbers of World War I is one thing and it quickly becomes so unreal that it’s hard to relate to. Seeing a movie, documentary of short clips make it more fathomable, but it is still just unknown faces and it is still hard to relate.
Then I played Valiant Hearts and it is one of the best portrayals of the gruesome warfare that dominated World War I, the human cost in casualties and families torn apart and telling a fascinating story.
It is a relatively short game based around puzzling and figuring out what to do. Some of the scenes where the music matches the action of the scene worked really well and I thoroughly enjoyed going through the game and finding out more about the main characters, their motives and of course what would happen to them
If you are curious about finding about more about World War I and you would like to also like to play a great puzzle game with a good story, then I recommend that you go find Valiant Hearts on Steam
